For more than a decade, the Rotary Club of Nogales, in collaboration with the Santa Cruz County Superintendent’s Office has hosted the Teacher of the Year Award Ceremony. All schools within the Santa Cruz County nominate a teacher who is highly qualified and committed to his/her profession as their Teacher of the Year. A committee, selected by the Nogales Rotary Club and the Santa Cruz County Superintendent’s Office interviews each nominee and select one winning teacher that is nominated the Santa Cruz County teacher of the year. However, each nominee is still recognized and receives a complementary dinner, a plaque and gifts that are worth over $300.00.
